Meet Scott Mullins!

A Word from the pen of Scott Mullins:

"As a child, I was introduced to Southern Gospel by parents who truly loved singing and listening to the music.  My father is today, my greatest fan. Because of their encouragement and my love for music ministry, God has blessed me with the privilege of being actively involved in Southern Gospel Music for over 30 years.  I accepted Christ as my Savior as a child, but I knew when the preacher read, “Make a joyful noise” that he was talking to me.  So, as a teenager, I had the opportunity to learn the bass guitar and was excited about becoming part of a local quartet in my hometown of Charleston, WV.  Just after my 17th birthday, my family continued to encourage me by putting a microphone in my hand and standing me in the baritone spot in what became a very popular family quartet called the Praisemen.

In 1992, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease and because of God’s grace and mercy, he healed my body.

Since that time, I have sung with different groups, such as, Kings Harmony of Charleston, WV, the Columbus, OH based trio, Freedom Voice, The Gospel Harmony Boys, and The Greenes,  from Shallotte, NC.

During these many years, He has, on occasion, given the inspiration to pen a few songs that have been recorded by several groups including the Praisemen, The Anchormen and The Gospel Harmony Boys.  I continue to write and my prayer is that God will use my effort for His praise and edification.

Presently, my wife and I reside in Charleston, WV. We have two grown children. They are a significant part of my life and I praise God every day that He continues to provide for us while giving us the opportunity to serve Him.I want to be in the very place God needs me."
